The Monmouth Chicken coop has a range of features making it excellent value for money. This chicken coop with an integrated run is suitable for up to 4 birds, depending on their size. It is suitable for more birds if they can roam outside the run. The most important factor when purchasing a chicken coop is the space available to your birds during the day. Please, remember your birds stay warm by huddling together at night.  

Our latest revised version of this popular model features a floor underneath the pull-out tray - an important safety feature to protect your birds from falling through when you have the tray out for cleaning. The tray itself is very convenient and durable thanks to its galvanized metal lining. The pull-out dropping board has sufficient depth to it so that you can fill it with bedding should you choose to do so.

One of the biggest factors you should be considering when purchasing a chicken coop is how easy it is to maintain proper hygiene. In addition to the pull-out tray being lined with metal, instead of cheap plastic which retains odours and bacteria, we’ve also designed the Monmouth to feature multiple opening parts, including an opening roof, which allows for full and easy access to all internal areas. 

You will find the opening roof to be very convenient when checking or treating the coop for lice, red mite, and other parasites which will hide in the nooks and crannies inside. This will allow you to keep your birds healthy and laying.

The Monmouth chicken coop is built with superior craftsmanship and uses high-quality materials. We know how important the safety of your birds is to you, so it’s essential that your chicken coop offers a high-level of protection against foxes and other predators. That is why you will find only high-strength netting (reinforced wire) used for the run enclosure. 

The run features a sliding door that allows your chickens to enter and leave the main house. With this design you needn't open the main door of the Monmouth coop to let your chickens in and out, reducing the risk of your chickens escaping out the main door. We believe this is a very important feature and we would always recommend that your coop has this, as it saves a lot of effort. The short ramp also makes it easy for your chickens to go in and out of the house. Note the high-quality tongue and groove panels used.

The nesting area of the coop is raised off the ground, which will prevent rats and other rodents from nesting underneath, potentially endangering your birds. This feature also prevents dampness, further ensuring your chicken's health.

Your Monmouth coop has been made to last. The wood has been treated using animal-friendly wood stain, protecting it from the elements for years to come. All locks and handles are rust-proof and the asphalt roof is 100% waterproof.

The Monmouth is suitable for other small animals too - rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, etc. This coop has been designed to keep pets in and predators out.
